September is Attendance Awareness Month, and Burke County High School is kicking off our September Attendance Challenge! Consistent attendance helps students remain engaged, build strong academic habits, and stay on track for success.

EOC Benchmarks

Students enrolled in EOC courses will complete benchmark assessments in their EOC classes.

Class of 2027 Senior Meeting

Monday, August 31 | 9:00 a.m.
BCHS Auditorium

Members of the Class of 2027 will receive important information about graduation, caps and gowns, scholarships, and other senior-year activities.

Freshman Family Event: 30-Day Check-In
Monday, August 31 | 5:00–6:30 p.m.
BCHS Auditorium

Freshman students and their families are encouraged to attend this opportunity to review their transition to high school, ask questions, and learn about the resources available to support their success.

Progress Reports
Thursday, September 3

Progress reports will be emailed to families.

CSRA College Night
Thursday, September 3 | 5:00–8:00 p.m.

Students in grades 9–12 are encouraged to attend and explore valuable college and postsecondary opportunities.

Early Dismissal
Friday, September 4

Burke County High School will operate on an early-dismissal schedule.

Labor Day—No School
Monday, September 7

Burke County High School will be closed in observance of Labor Day.

Daily Attendance Reminder

School begins promptly at 7:50 a.m. each day. Please help us ensure that students arrive on time, attend school consistently, and are prepared to learn.
