PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
I am humbled and grateful to God for being the principal of Burke County High School! As Principal, I am excited about the opportunity to continue building on all of the wonderful, instructional initiatives, and athletic legacies that have already been established. My excitement has escalated over the past school year by being named as the first traditional Associate Visible Learning High School in the nation. Burke County High School is an educational institution of exemplary standards and strong traditions that create diverse opportunities for our students. It is our responsibility to ensure students benefit from a wealth of resources and grow into productive citizens who can compete in a global society. I have worked in a number of school districts throughout Georgia and South Carolina.
I am married to Diane Seabrooks, and we have two daughters, Deanna and Dynese. We have been blessed with a son-in-law, Michael, and two beautiful granddaughters, Hayden and Hailey. I received my B.S. from South Carolina State University, an MPA from Savannah State University, an Ed.S. and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from South Carolina State University.

Both new student registration and annual returning student updates may be completed online. The online returning student annual verification process replaces all of the paper forms that have traditionally been sent home at the beginning of each school year and ensures the information is updated in a more timely manner.

Safety is our top priority. We have secure campus entry points, regular emergency drills, and on-site staff trained in emergency response. Our visitor management system ensures that all guests are signed in and monitored.

Our elementary school day typically begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 2:30 p.m., with after-school programs available for families needing extended care.

Registration is straightforward and can be done online or in person at the school office. Required documents include proof of residence, birth certificate, and immunization records.

We welcome family involvement! Parents can volunteer in classrooms, join the PTA, participate in family nights, or attend school events. Your involvement strengthens our school community and supports your child's learning experience.
