Pacing Guide Overview

During the first few weeks of school, students will cover important information on personal finance such as budgeting, introduction to financial institutions, interest, investment opportunities, credit, and more.
Students will then continue by learning about economic fundamentals such as its definition, scarcity, factors of production, specialization, voluntary exchange, economic systems, and more.
Next, this course will cover Microeconomic concepts. Namely, students will cover supply and demand, circular flow, and roles of businesses.
Macro is probably my favorite standard, and we will be discussing it to kick off the second nine weeks. In macroeconomics, we discuss measuring economic activity through GDP, inflation, and unemployment, analyze business cycles, talk about the Federal Reserve and fiscal and monetary policy, and more.
Our shortest standard rounds out our class. In international we talk about trade, exchange rates, and trade barriers.
