Welcome to Introduction to Law, Public Safety, Corrections and Security!!!
You are about to dive into an incredible course!!!!! Together we'll explore the dominant worldviews that shape law and justice.
Having several years in the Criminal Justice field and in other public service experience makes me a knowledgeable Criminal Justice teacher for Burke County High School. I have also spent the last three years working as a resource officer for the Burke and Richmond County School Systems.
My educational background includes a B.A. and M.S. in Criminal Justice. I enjoy watching movies and vacationing with my family. I also like to follow the best football team in America, the Dallas Cowboys.
Because of my experience, I anticipate I will be able to contribute in helping students meet their curriculum goals, and provide them with a wider view of perception for this form of work force pathway. I believe in teaching while being open and honest and instilling life lessons. I believe this method of teaching will help students in learning through both conventional means and modern ways.Together, we can ensure the success of our students. I believe that students are mostly successful when home and school work together; students play a major role in their success as well. Students should come to class prepared to work and learn daily!!! I'm looking forward to the 2018-2019 school year and the opportunity to bring the contents of introduction to law to life.
Even before I joined the school, I was aware that the quality of education that the school provides greatly impacts the student’s futures in becoming responsible adults. I look forward to doing my part in helping the students achieve this goal and in interacting with each of you. I hope you find the course useful, fun, and engaging. I have an “open email” policy, so please contact me anytime you need assistance or have questions. I am here to help the students succeed.
