I am so excited about this new semester! We are going to learn so much! My goal is to make it fun and engaging for every student! With that being said, I also expect my students to work, learn, and stay focused. That is the only way you can be successful in class. Remember why you're here and that the only person who can stop you from reaching your goals and achieving your goals is YOU! I am excited about this opportunity to expand my experiences here at BCHS! I am also excited about what the future holds for me and my ability to support even more students each and every day at BCHS!! I will forever have a passion for helping people and ALL things HEALTHCARE!!
Ever since I can really remember, I have always wanted to be a healthcare professional. When I was younger, I wasn't sure which profession, but I knew that I wanted to help people. In high school, I took healthcare courses to get a head start in the profession, and the rest is history (sort of). I obtained my bachelor's degree in Nursing from Georgia Southern University. During my final clinical rotation, in L&D, I realized how much I really enjoyed & felt true joy in helping my patients learn how to care for themselves. We had an assignment to create and conduct a new parent teaching activity, and that's the moment that I realized that I was absolutely in love with teaching. Once I started my first position in nursing, I sought a position that would provide opportunities for that gift to flourish. I have done bedside nursing as well as teaching & they both bring me so much joy!! The greatest gift ever has been the privilege of working with amazing patients, their families, and students who desire to save & touch lives as healthcare professionals. This is where I know God has called me to be. And I can't wait to share this gift with you! I'm excited!
