BCHS Advance Placement 2-D Art and Design Portfolio Showcase 2020

Important: Because of school closures due to COVID-19, the requirements for the 2020 AP 2-D Art and Design portfolio have changed. Get the details at Taking AP Exams Online. Note that these changes to the 2020 portfolio requirements may not be reflected on all AP Students pages. This course seeks to develop skills in a two-dimensional medium such as graphic design, photography, collage, printmaking, and others as the student learns the principles of 2-D design. Students created artworks that reflect his or her own ideas and skills and what they've learned throughout the year.

Return to School Detailed Plan

The health, safety, and well-being of students and staff remains a top priority as we continue to plan for reopening schools on August 17. It is critical to balance the risk of direct infection and transmission of COVID-19 with the impact of school closures on students’ physical and mental health. Clearly, we would like to have students back in traditional class this August with school every weekday and regular social interaction, and we recognize that anything less places a
burden on our guardians who work outside the home. Current evidence supports that our students can return to school in a carefully structured manner that minimizes risks from a public
health perspective. We also realize that there are medically fragile and at-risk populations, causing some degree of uncertainty about returning to school. Our COVID Task Force has taken these and other factors into consideration and developed the following plan.

Updated Distance Learning Information as of April 1, 2020

On Wednesday, April 1, 2020, Governor Brian Kemp announced that - as a result of COVID-19 - all
K-12 public schools would remain closed for in-person instruction for the rest of the year. Even though the
buildings will be closed, our commitment our community is not. We owe it to our students to provide them
with a quality education. Our administrators, teachers, instructional support, and classified staff have worked
hard this week to develop a manageable plan for offering high-quality instruction so that our students can finish the school year strong.
