Introduction

Hey Y’all! My name is Ms. Jennifer Oglesby. I am from Millen, Georgia, but when I was born my parents lived right here in Waynesboro. I am the mother of five children and two grandchildren. I have several degrees from Georgia Southern University and the highest level completed was an Education Specialist degree in Teaching and Learning with an emphasis on literacy (Bachelors and Masters are in English Education). I am gifted endorsed, have met the requirements for the reading endorsement & I have the Dramatic Writing endorsement. In order to be a great theatre teacher, I have taken classes on Theatrical performance, acting, & gone to "Backstage Bootcamp" to be able to run the sound & light systems. I have have 22 years teaching experience(17 years as a BCHS Bear!) and I am going into my 11th year of teaching English at Ogeechee Technical College where I was named the "Adjunct Instructor of the Year" in 2019 and 2023. I am currently teaching Theatre Arts classes here at BCHS and I love it! I am very excited at what this year will bring for us with One Act Play, Literary Competition, and hopefully a spring Musical! I love to travel and see new places, and in my spare time I enjoy hunting, fishing, swimming, reading, writing, going to beauty pageants across the state with my youngest daughter, making leather earrings & acting/directing plays.
