E-Sports
Advisors: Mr. Braddock and Mr. Ruffin
E-sports is an official BCHS sports team and should be taken just as seriously as any other team.
- Students must maintain grade, discipline, and attendance requirements to participate.
- BCHS's esports team meets every Monday-Thursday weekly until the season is over.
- BCHS's esports team has two season, fall and spring, with playoffs for each.
- Students may choose to bring their own consoles or utilize those offered by the school.
*Rocket League users MUST bring their own Playstation 4's for now.
Who?: Both boys and girls can compete in various gaming titles online against other high schools in the United States.
What?: Esports teams can compete for state championships in the following titles during the fall season: Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, and other titles. During the Spring season, schools can win state championships in the following titles: Splatoon 3, Rocket League, Madden, and NBA 2K.
Why?: E-sports helps promote inclusivity for all students regardless of race, gender, academic/sports prowess; It promotes leadership, communication, camaraderie and social interaction. It teaches punctuality, time management, and sportsmanship. It helps students focus on their current work as well as it could help a student find a field of study for college.
