At Burke County High School, we believe in making learning clear and focused for all students. That's why you'll see daily Learning Intentions and Success Criteria posted in our classrooms and often referenced in student work.
Think of the Learning Intention as the destination for the day's learning. It clearly states what students will learn or understand by the end of the lesson. It answers the question: "What will I learn today?"
The Success Criteria are like the roadmap to that destination. They outline the specific steps students need to take or the evidence they need to show to demonstrate they have met the learning intention. It answers the question: "How will I know I'm successful?"
