Good Morning Burke County!
Burke County High FFA will have 10 members attending the 96th National FFA Convention, November 1-4. We are hosting a T-Shirt Fundraiser and 50/50 raffle to help offset the cost of the event.
To highlight some of our student successes:
- Abby Joyner will be presented with a Silver Medal for her participation in the National Proficiency Application Program in the area of Dairy Production Entrepreneurship. This is only the second time Burke Co. has had anyone compete nationally in the chapter's history.
- Keshon Winns and Trent Reddick will be recognized on stage and national television as the recipient of their American Degrees. This is the highest honor a member can achieve and less than 1% of FFA members reach this milestone! These two make the 13th and 14th FFA members from Burke County since 1928 to receive their American
Degrees. - In addition, our members have been asked to assist in hosting the National Nursery Landscape Competition. Our students will help set-up and judge the hands-on portion of the contest.
