Dear parents and guardians,

OnĀ Monday, April 24th, BCHS will be administering the final Reading and Math Growth Measure Assessments for the 2022-23 school year to students during Cohort. The assessments are adaptive and skills-based, which means that they evaluate your child's progress in key areas of learning and adjust to their individual level of performance.

While your child cannot study for this assessment, we do encourage you to remind them of the importance of taking it seriously and doing their best. We would also like to emphasize the importance of rest and proper nutrition on the day of the assessment. Although high school students may have busy schedules, getting enough rest and eating a healthy breakfast can significantly impact their performance.

Once the testing window concludes, we will begin analyzing the results to track your child's progress over time and identify any areas where additional support may be needed. These assessments are a longitudinal tool that allows us to monitor your child's academic growth over the course of their high school education. We will then be notifying you of the results via email and encourage you to discuss the results with your child and his/her counselor.

These assessments are an essential part of our efforts to continuously improve our educational programs and ensure that your child is receiving the best possible education. As always, we appreciate your continued support and look forward to seeing your child's academic growth and progress on the final Reading and Math Growth Measure Assessments.

Best regards,

Renee Hickman
