There's nothing in this world quite like the feeling of being a bear no other moments like the ones that we create within the walls of this building the talent that we have and the hard work that we contribute to be able to shine at our fullest potential the people we get to meet along our four year journey and the bonds that we create getting to come to a place where we are allowed to be anything that we want to be this isn't just my school this is a place that allowed me to find exactly who I am and these people are my family and let me tell you there's actually nothing measures up to being built we know that being bear built means committed respectful hard-working and successful but it means so much more being bear built is all about discipline and always competing at the highest level you just got to be the best you that you can be it's about keeping the standard at Burke County High School we ignore the noise embrace the grind and always step up to the challenge It's a special kind of swag you have when knowing you're a Burke County Bear our name carries heavyweight people from all around the area State and even country get chills when the county is mentioned we stand for something something big and we carry ourself as such this is what we do this is how we're made and this is who we are being built means being hardworking dedicated committed to whatever your doing sports or academics being a great leader in your class or out on the field having great integrity This is me a bear the one who stands tall on two when the pressure is applied the one who stands out and claims the territory that was stolen this is me an overcomer no matter the adversity I face there was that one bear looking out for me just like a bear and its cub dedication commitment hard work and love is cultivated in every line of action here in my heart and Burke County this is me this is us we are Bear Built.
