Edwards or Miss Webster to donate and certain teachers have donation boxes as well as I thought they is now accepting officer application for the 2021 2022 school year if you would like to apply you may contact mr. Jones or Miss Crockett and room 512 applications are due April 30th FFA plant sale is happening so make sure to come out support FFA and get a really cool plant in the process the Bears baseball team play Thompson in a doubleheader last Friday at home and the Bears 115 and O in both games congrats Bears the varsity baseball team will have a game against catch the bus today at home the JV baseball will have an away game against TCI tomorrow make sure to come out and support your bears the bears tennis team played at yesterday and we will have those scores back tomorrow they will play Morgan County at home today and in a way game against Arc Wednesday wish them good luck happy women's History Month each day this month we will highlight a powerful woman in history today we will recognize Grace Hopper Grace Hopper was an American mathematician and rear Admiral in the US Navy who was a Pioneer in developing a computer technology helping to divide univac 1 the first commercial electronic computer and they will applications for kobold common business-oriented language graduating from Vassar College in 1928 copper attended Yale University from 1930 to 1934 she taught mathematics at Vassar before joining the naval Reserve in 1943 she became a lieutenant and was assigned to the Bureau of computation project at Harvard University in 1944 where she worked on Mark 1 the first large-scale automatic calculator and precursor of electronic computers she wrote the first computer manual a manual of APA station for the automatic sequence control calculator in 1946 which describes how to operate mark one and was the first extensive treatment of how to program a computer she remained at Harvard as a civilian research fellow while maintaining enable career as a reservist after a moth infiltrated the circuit the mark-1 she coined the term bug to refer to unexplained computer failures thank you for watching the bear watch news where we are hashtag Better Built don't forget to tune in to 92.9 The Soul mine to hear us daily and remember we are committed respectful hard-working and successful have a great day
