As IB students work on their college applications, Ethan Coalson works with BCHS counselors and his IB peers to learn to use Naviance (software that allows K-12 students prepare for their futures with personalized college, career, and life readiness (CCLR) planning tools), and another a common app for HBCU.

Georgia Southern uses it I can spell Georgia Southern Southern Georgia State Board of tax go to college all of the music Greg Rancourt University whatever that is so every College you're going to apply to is likely going to be on Common App so if you don't have to if you don't like coming out account now I go to head and make one and look at your Naviance they're pretty quick to make you don't have to fill out all the like there's a, not section which this is all your personal information that we sent to every school you apply and it's simple stuff I won't go any lower because that's on the social security number when you get a note school does the yes sir this is a bass there are specific College specific ones so like that this stuff so this is the stuff they want to see two so when you want to start all that kind of stuff is college but yes everything here is the general information that won't change like are you a first-generation college graduate if your name social security number stuff like that and come and coming out is just available for students that like this already graduated high school so you're not affiliated with a high school in the morning and they would want to try not to laugh, it would have access to come in after going to ask like everybody yes sir I think it's 4 off first year college student so I don't know if it works for graduate school that may be a bit different but when you make your account it asks if you're up for some college student nurses and you can use it if you take a gap year you're coming back to school but say like a 50 year old who never done College only takes a lot of schools in the news is easier for the Sudan this is where you would actually submit who asked it doesn't have to be a teacher for a letter of recommendation I guess it's the way it has to complete this without me but there's an option I really could Valentine ticket for yourself but there's an option that would be like teacher recommendations would have to be like Philly ated with the school and that you need to do through navient but then there are some that are called other recommender that can be like a code preacher that can be anybody and you send that through, you really just follow the instructions when do like you. would it be doing that community service because of that has got a place on, you can miss those days we can have those readily available a lot of those are college specific to your interest the best of Marvel did I remember it eat School asked my my interest there is activities have I'm sure that so activity time this is not to be sold out but I'm a log into mind to Cleveland as far as the actual application we write the essay and all that that's not that's where that tooth so there's a personal statement which is that season to every college and that is through, not and 7 option you don't have to go to the website to apply you can yes and so I'm figuring this out now but when you submit your application what's the college receives it and then they send you there like Portal information so that's how you apply to their like Honors College financial aid and things like that do do that through the school didn't even make an account you have to have Common App application verse so I can show him on cuz it looks completed so I got that L Tech so for once I looking at at activities so this is what activity section looks like on my end of it he's they always recommend filling out all the way like I did like 10 minutes I did oh yeah resume as well I did that too but the writing this is where the personal statement I can choose a personal statement options personal essay Mighty are the different crops you can look at I should have the last one is Sharon essay of any topic of your choice so it's not specific at all but you have different options
