Good morning everyone. I hope everyone is safe and healthy and is continuing to practice social distancing. I have a few updates about contacting me if needed and accessing your distance learning packages. All information that you may need is located on my web page that is on the Burke County High School webpage under “Staff.” Look for my name or the Law and Public Safety logo. On my page you will see “Distance Learning.” Your assignments are labeled Day 1 through Day 10. Everyone is to complete all assignments. The due dates will be listed shortly in Google classroom. I will also post a daily activator in a question form so we all can communicate as a class. The activators will be posted only two to three times each week. If you or your parent(s)need assistance with anything you can notify me through Google, email, remind, or via text/phone. Please advise your parents of this: Office Hours: 10:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. If these hours are an issue please advise and we will come up with a solution. I’m always available by email. Contraband is one of the biggest threats facing corrections. Efforts made to deter the influx of contraband into correctional facilities have to be both proactive and reactive. We need to protect our prisons and jails by ensuring facilities have the right tools for contraband scanning, that facilities are properly staffed and that officers are protected so they can get the job done effectively. We need to employ all efforts to eliminate the paths along which contraband can travel.
