Watch the process of how to 'paint' with melted crayons. To give depth and create form build on lighter values adding contrast and shades into your base local color. This will create depth and the illusion of dimension. Keep in mind: tip is hot, clean metal with tissue, use like a paint brush (lay colors in don't rub abrasively).
