Success Academy - EDGENUITY
The Success Academy emphasizes a productive, safe, and encouraging environment in which students work to reach targeted completion of goals through blended learning. Blended learning is an approach to education that combines online educational materials with traditional classroom methods. It requires the physical presence of both the teacher and the student while allowing some elements of student control over time and pace.
Students enrolled in the Success Academy are monitored by teachers who directly encourage and motivate them to remain on track for course completion, as well as graduation. In addition, student progress and mastery of the Georgia Standards of Excellence are documented and assessed as students progress through their coursework.
The objectives of the courses in the Success Academy are:
- To enable students to successfully meet coursework requirements for graduation or dual enrollment
- To develop an individualized program of study for each student
- To enable students to demonstrate mastery of the Georgia Standards of Excellence in core subject areas
