You will have two weekly formative assessments (Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday).  You will also have a summative assessment every other Thursday on even weeks (week 2, week 4, week 6, etc.). All assignments will be completed using Google Classroom. Students are expected to complete all assignments during class time. Friday's Vocabulary assessments.

There are two ways to see ALL of the activities for each week. You will only see the first half of the week’s activities unless you click VIEW MORE to see the rest of the activities for the week. You could also click on the Week 01, Week 02, etc. header to see a full view of all activities without clicking ‘view more’.

The expectations are posted in the room as a gentle reminder of how you are expected to behave in the classroom. In the event that you decide not to follow the expectations, corrective actions will be taken. Burke County High School Expectations will be enforced including the following:

  • Be committed: Be prepared for class, everyday & stay focused during our time (Physically-included notebook, pen, pencil, paper & mentally – be ready to work and answer questions)
  • Be successful: Students will come to class on time prepared and ready to learn. DO YOUR BEST, BE YOUR BEST @ ALL TIMES!! Remember, that you are your greatest competition and no one can stop YOU, except YOU
  • Be prepared for class when the bell rings. This means your pencils are sharpened, and you have all needed materials- notebook unless otherwise notified. This time is also to be used to copy and work on the work that will be on the board for you. Please bring your Chromebook each day to class with the charger and please have then charged for class. All assignments are expected to be completed in class and will be monitored by the teacher.
  • Be respectful and courteous: Remain at your desk during class. Throw all trash away before class begins. Walking around the room during class without permission is rude and disrespectful to both teacher and students. If you find yourself needing to tell another student something, jot it down so you can recall it but speak with them after class. And please do not throw objects across or in the classroom.
