Interact Club

BCHS Interact Club "Goat Project"

The BCHS Interact Club would like to thank everyone who helped to raise over $2450 for the purchase of dairy goats for North Africa through the Samaritan's Purse organization. With your help we will be able to provide 35 animals (our largest number yet!) for the support and nurture of those who need it most. We thank you and wish you a very Happy New Year!

The Interact Club is proud of its association with the following local, state, national, and international organizations. We hope this partnership has made a difference in the world around us...we know it has allowed us to experience, firsthand, the Rotary motto, "Service above Self."  A brief description of each organization as well as contact information is provided should you decide to become involved in this important work.

The Rotary Club

The Rotary Club is an international service organization supporting projects as diverse as childrens' literacy and Third World water purification. Rotary sponsors Interact Clubs at the secondary and college levels providing both financial support and encouragement for club projects. The Waynesboro Rotary Club has been especially active in its involvement with our Interact organization, in part, by providing scholarships to Interact members chosen by the club to attend the Rotary Young Leaders Conference (RYLA) in June of each year. Our Rotary sponsor, Mr. J.D. Smith, remains faithful throughout the year, attending meetings, making suggestions, and acting as liason between our club and the local Rotary Club.
